We’re looking for a talented filmmaker (aged 16-30) to join our team in London, UK.

The IPF empowers the next generation of journalists to tell the stories that they think should make it onto the news agenda.

With more than 300 contributors from over 50 countries around the world, we provide a platform for young people to shine a light on the voices behind the headlines. We work with our contributors to help them effectively tell stories from their countries by giving them the tools they need to flourish as journalists and storytellers.

Job description:

As our volunteer Filmmaker, you would be responsible for any video content that the IPF produces. This includes filming interviews and events in London, as well as editing videos filmed by contributors or other members of the team. Workload and filming opportunities will be scheduled based on your availability.

You will also be asked to review the content our editors have planned and provide suggestions on how the content can be brought to life through video. Furthermore, you will be on the lookout for content ideas that the IPF could produce.

While there is no set list of requirements for this position, those with filmmaking experience will be given priority.

Please note that this is a voluntary role and that all IPF team members work on a voluntary basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Filming of IPF events in London
  • Filming interviews, events and protests alongside contributors
  • Editing video content compiled by you and/or contributors
  • Editing short video clips for social media platforms
  • Working with our editors to add appropriate videos to our planned content
  • Brainstorm for engaging video content to produce on IPF’s website

HOW TO APPLY: Send your showreel, CV and cover letter to priyanka@the-ipf.com stating when you are available to start. We are looking to fill this role ASAP.
